The Advantages:
Your home merits furniture that expresses your individual taste while meeting your exact specifications. Our custom furniture is built to fit your personal environment, with elegance and sophistication.

You will enjoy the personal satisfaction of participating in this creative process. With antiques getting rarer and more costly, our furniture actually appreciates in value over time, making it a solid investment. You will own a signed original that you took part in creating, that can be passed down and cherished for generations to come, at a cost that is comparable to high quality manufactured furniture.

The advantages of engaging Maynard & Maynard, in addition to their comprehensive design services and excellent craftsmanship are, from the comfort of your home, you can work directly with the craftsman to participate in the conception and design of exactly the piece you are looking for.

The Process:
We are custom furniture makers and can make any style furniture from primitive to contemporary. The process begins with a phone or e-mail discussion describing what you are looking for in terms of style, overall size, materials and the dimensions of the space the piece will occupy. We can work from photographs, sketches and descriptions. We specialize in guiding our clients through this process.

When you're ready to engage in the design process we can estimate an approximate budget for the piece you would like made. We then ask for a 10% design fee to cover part of the cost of the design process.

As we work on the design, we keep your budget in mind. We mail drawings to you for your approval (sometimes it takes two or three generations of drawings and a few conversations), and when you approve the design with the details finalized, we submit a fixed price. At this point we ask for a 50% deposit to cover material costs and the initiation of the project. Your piece is scheduled upon receipt of your deposit. The remaining 50% will be due upon completion, prior to delivery.

We look forward to hearing from you.
